  • DAVID AMARO

    Coach Amaro, director and founder of the 26-year-old Philly Bandits Baseball program, oversees strategy and operations. Raised in a baseball family, with a father and brother in the Major Leagues, he emphasizes academics as a gateway for student-athletes. Coach Amaro played at William Penn Charter School, Duke University, and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs.Coach Amaro realizes the value of education and stresses academics as they open doors otherwise not available to student/athletes.

  • RUBEN AMARO JR.

    Ruben, a longtime Advisor to the program since its inception 26 years ago, emphasizes the value of academics, a lesson instilled by his parents. A standout player at William Penn Charter School and Stanford University, he played in the Major Leagues with the Phillies, Angels, and Indians. Ruben also served as Assistant General Manager and General Manager with the Philadelphia Phillies and has coached with the Boston Red Sox and NY Mets. He currently works as a broadcaster with NBC Sports Philly.

  • BRANDON ‘BO’ BIRKHEAD

    Coach Birkhead was a standout dual-sport player in baseball and football at Pennsbury High school as well as University of New Haven, and later signed professionally with Milwaukee.

    He loves to coach and has instructed for the past 25 years, teaching the fundamentals of the game and making sure players play hard and respect the game.

  • KEVIN BONNER

    Coach Bonner was a standout player at Bishop Egan High School. He went on to receive All-Conference honors playing at Kutztown University where he earned a degree in Elementary Education. Coach Bonner received his MA in Educational Administration from Gwynedd-Mercy University. He has coached all levels of youth baseball and is currently the Assistant Varsity Coach at Neshaminy High School. He has a passion for teaching the game and stressing fundamentals, teamwork and having a strong work ethic.

  • JON CROSS

    Coach Cross, with extensive experience, heads several Philly Bandits teams, actively involved in recruiting and player development. A former University of Pennsylvania coach, he achieved success at various high schools. As a skilled shortstop at Germantown Academy, Lafayette College player, and Villanova Law School graduate, Coach Cross prioritizes strong fundamentals, work ethic, dedication, teamwork, and ensuring players enjoy the competition and camaraderie.

  • JOHN CLAUSS

    Coach Clauss, an All Suburban One player at William Tennent High School, holds a B.S.B.A.-Marketing from Shippensburg University and an MBA/Finance from LaSalle University. With over 30 years of coaching experience, he emphasizes detail and fundamentals, supporting Philly Bandits teams. Dedicated to teaching the game and nurturing student-athletes' growth on and off the field.

  • SEAN COYLE

    Sean, a Germantown Academy standout with numerous awards, achieved an impressive baseball career. He excelled internationally with Team USA, securing a Gold Medal against Cuba. As a Boston Red Sox signee in the 3rd round, Sean played in MLB organizations, emphasizing fundamentals, power, and speed to distinguish players from the crowd..

  • TOM 'DOC' COYLE

    Coach "Doc" Coyle is the Infield instructor with the Philly Bandits. Coach Coyle excelled as a middle infielder in High School and at the University of Pennsylvania. As a Surgeon he realizes the value of education and loves to give back and instruct student/athletes. Coach Coyle has been Coaching for over 22 years and has been instrumental in the Philly Bandits development and success.

  • TOMMY COYLE

    Tommy Coyle, a Germantown Academy standout, earned All League, All State, and National Honors as a 4-year starter. A University of North Carolina scholarship recipient, he won awards and a College World Series ring. Drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays, Tommy had a successful pro career. Now coaching with the Philly Bandits, he emphasizes fundamental soundness, focusing on fielding, baserunning, and hitting for young players' success.

  • TY CAPLAN

    Coach Caplan is an assistant Coach for the Philly Bandits. He was a varsity player in the prestigious Inter-Ac league. pitching for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and will be attending University of Delaware in Fall of 2024 where he will be studying sports management and analytics.

    Ty is a well-versed student of the game and has been an assistant coach for several competitive teams including the D1 Colts and the Philly Bandits.

  • KRIS DUFNER

    Coach Dufner has had many roles with the Philly Bandits Program. He continues to advise the Philly Bandits staff. He was an outstanding baseball player at Father Judge High School and at the University of Delaware. Always known to be a smart baseball player, Coach Dufner was drafted by the Tampa Rays and played professionally for several years. Coach Dufner loves to teach and mentor players and put them in a position to be successful

  • PERRY FACENDA

    Coach Facenda is currently a business leader in the chemical industry. He is mentor to many young athletes and has been coaching baseball in the area youth organizations for the last 23 years. President of a local Baseball organization for 13 years and currently a board member of a local baseball organization .Perry enjoys coaching and mentoring along with teaching the youth players of the future with the Philly Bandits .

  • WILL FACENDA

    Will Faccenda has coached at many levels and currently coaches at Council Rock South where he starred as a two-sport athlete in baseball and basketball where he holds scoring records. He is a dynamic coach who instils professionalism in his players. A teacher at heart, Coach Will demonstrates and expects his players to give 100% effort and a great attitude on the field.

  • NICK FERDINAND

    Nick Ferdinand, a Catholic League standout and HOF athlete at Archbishop Ryan High School, set offensive records. Dominating as a power outfielder at the University of Delaware, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies. After a pro baseball career, he entered the fitness industry, assisting Bandits players with strength and agility. He now runs NF Sports Strength, supporting athletes in staying healthy and strong..

  • NICK FISHER

    Coach Fisher is a student of the game and has been involved in youth baseball, as both a coach and an administrator since 2000. He has coached teams to multiple tournament victories, highlighted most recently by a State Legion Championship. Many of his players have enjoyed success at the collegiate level. He has been on the Board of Directors of several baseball organizations (Little League, Babe Ruth, Legion, AAU). Nick first coached for the Bandits organization in 2014.

  • SHANE FITZGERALD

    Shane has been coaching for 35 years for competitive teams in Colorado, Texas and Pennsylvania. Keeping things simple, and helping teenagers navigate their way to adulthood in a positive way fuels his coaching style.

  • MIKE GOSSNER

    Coach Gossner, the General Manager of the 22U Collegiate Philly Bandits, brings over 30 years of coaching experience across all baseball levels. He holds key roles in AAABA-22U, CABA, NABF, and Nations Baseball. An Associate Scout for the Baltimore Orioles, Coach Goz excels in recruiting and building Philadelphia's Collegiate summer programs. He's a former President of the AAABA Collegiate Baseball Association.

  • DAN HOY

    Dan Hoy, a former New York Mets professional player and Princeton University four-year starter, brings a wealth of experience to the coaching staff. A three-time all-league selection, he excelled at Germantown Academy and the Philly Bandits Program. Dan emphasizes playing the game correctly and focusing on controlling what is within one's control.

  • JEFF KLAUSS

    Coach Klauss coached several youth ages over the past 19 years. He played for Neshaminy High School and at Millersville University. He strives to pass along his passion and love for the game to the players to get the very best out of them.

  • GEORGE KOTSOPOULOS

    Coach Kotsopoulos brings a wealth of experience and dedication to competitive baseball. Coach K is currently a Varsity Coach at CB South High School and previously served on the coaching staff of Council Rock South High School. In addition to his impactful high school coaching, he has also been an integral part of the Colts and Philly Bandits organizations for the past decade. Beyond the baseball diamond, George is a practicing lawyer with a degree from American University.

  • ANTHONY MAGALLANES

    Anthony is a teacher at heart and a valuable coach with the Bandits organization. Having been a former Bandits player he understands that being fundamentally sound will take a talented player to great heights. He is a super Head Coach with the Philly Bandits and works tirelessly to educate the players on all aspects of the game

  • JEFF MANTO

    Coach Manto, the Philly Bandits Hitting instructor, advises on hitting approach and preparation during the offseason. A powerful player at Bristol High School and Temple University, Jeff played 9 Major League seasons, tying a record for hitting home runs in 4 consecutive at-bats with the Baltimore Orioles. Now a professional hitting instructor, Coach Manto brings his expertise to develop consistent hitting approaches for young hitters.

  • ERIC MARASHESKI

    Eric was a standout SS with the Philly Bandits and LaSalle College High School where he gained many accolades. As a serious student athlete, he took his academic success and baseball talents to Princeton University where he had an outstanding career. Eric shares his expertise working with infielders in the Philly Bandits program. Eric emphasizes fundamentals and playing with high energy to separate oneself from competition.

  • SEAN MCGETTIGAN SR.

    A standout athlete at Father Judge High School and West Chester University, Coach McGettigan brings a lifetime of knowledge and enthusiasm to the Philly Bandits program. His vast knowledge of hitting and game preparation makes him a true asset to the Bandits staff. Coach Sean knows how to drive his players and get the best effort from them even in tense situations.

  • MIKE MIHALIK

    Coach Mihalik has coached with the Bandits for over 11 years . He attended and played football for Widener University and transferred to Cal U where he continued his athletic career in wrestling. Coach Mihalik has been coaching baseball for many years and is a strong advocate of playing the game the right way. He strives to instill the work ethic, fundamentals and mental preparation that players need to be successful playing at the next level

  • GREGORY OLENSKI

    Coach Olenski, a standout player at Holy Ghost Prep, graduated from the University of Maryland and the University of Delaware in 2015. Now the Head Coach of Holy Ghost Prep's baseball program, he was an exceptional college hitter and team leader. Successful in the business world, Gregory assists young Bandits hitters and serves as the Head Coach of the College Age Bandits.

  • GREG OLENSKI

    Greg Olenski has coached with the Philly Bandits for over 12 years. He is a firm believer that the only thing a young player can control is their attitude and their effort and everything else is beyond their control. "G" was a standout basketball player at Widener University but baseball has always been his true passion along with helping young players realize their dream of playing college baseball.

  • MIKE REARDON

    Coach Reardon is a staple in the Bandits organization having coached many years. He was a talented player at Cardinal Dougherty High School and then The Philadelphia School of Textile & Sciences. His love for the game has allowed him to Coach for over 18 years to give back. His goal is to teach the fundamentals of the game and help players reach the next level.

  • VINCE ROSSOMANDO

    Vince is a passionate baseball teacher and coach. Coach Rossomando was the former Head Varsity Baseball Coach of the Holy Ghost Prep Baseball Team. He is a successful business owner that teaches his players the value of hard work and leadership. He has coached several League and District Championship teams and is a graduate of Ursinus College. He brings a sense of urgency and fundamentals to the Bandits Program.

  • MARK SEIBERT

    Mark, a Philly Bandits coach since his college baseball days, excelled at Holy Ghost Prep, displaying leadership on and off the field. A Gettysburg College player, he's an essential part of the Bandits' coaching staff, emphasizing fundamentals and a positive, right-way approach to the game.

  • NOLAN SHELINSKY

    Coach Shelinsky is an assistant Coach for the Philly Bandits. He was a varsity pitcher in the prestigious Inter-Ac league. pitching for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and will be attending Springfield University in Fall of 2024

    Nolan has been an assistant coach for the D1 Colts and the Philly Bandits.

  • MIKE SPAHITS

    Mike Spahits played High School baseball at Archbishop Wood high school and College at Salisbury University. He has coached baseball for the past six years and also works as a strength and speed coach.

  • PHIL STAHL

    Phil Stahl, an outstanding hitter at Holy Ghost Prep and Monmouth University, now dedicates more time to coaching the Bandits. A natural leader, he connects well with talented student-athletes, emerging as an outstanding coach and leader in the program.

  • GERARD SWEENEY

    Coach Sweeney was a high school baseball at The Shipley School and developed as a talented power hitter with the Philly Bandits. He played 5 years at Lehigh University and traveled across the US from The Hamptons, NY to Alaska during collegiate summer ball. Post college he has been and assistant coach with the Haverford School and the Philly Bandits where he enjoys coaching kids of all ages in his free time.
